The Port of Drammen, Norway, is an inland deepwater Port situated 45km south-west of Oslo in the County of Buskerud. The harbour is located at the northern end of the Drammen Fjord and east of the river Drammen. It is a freshwater Port and freshwater is available at every quay.

The local people say that "Drammen was created by the river" and there's no doubt that Drammen's location has made it a natural harbour for many centuries.

The Vikings were using the Drammen Fjord nearly a thousand years ago to bring in the plunder of their foreign raids. The Sagas of Snorre, dating from 1070, describe how the Vikings sailed their longships up the fjord to Drofn, as the harbour was called at that time.The Port of Drammen is controlled by The Port Authority of Drammen, a non-profit making harbour authority owned by the municipalities of Drammen, Lier, Royken, Hurum og Svelvik. The Port Authority offices are located in the Tangen area of the Port.

The Port of Drammen has a total of 24.000 sq.m of warehousing including 5.600 sq.m of temperature controlled storage. Up to 10.000 cars can be stored at the Port of Drammen including 2.000 garage spaces. The port has a total of 200.000 sq.m of open storage.
