The North Lakeland Discovery Center Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, USA, is a community-based environmental learning center dedicated to exploring, preserving, and enhancing the Lakeland area's natural, cultural, and historic resources. The Center is located on a 66-acre site in the heart of northern Wisconsin's tranquil Lakeland destination region.

The North Lakeland Discovery Center Manitowish Waters,  core values include a belief that the acquisition of knowledge and skills is a life-long undertaking. Through various means including recreation, discussion, display, and field study, The Discovery Center offers a diversity of experiential learning opportunities. Programs are based on the premise that the better we understand our natural environment, the more likely we are to accept our shared responsibility to look after it.

The peaceful 66 acre campus is known to many as the former Statehouse Lake YCC (Youth Conservation Camp) Camp. The main lodge, campfire ring, amphitheater, beach and sauna house all rest on the pristine shores of  Statehouse Lake and look out to the nearby bog and forested trails. The main lodge has a separate men's and women's shower facility. Our kitchen is fully equipped to handle groups up to 100.
