Maria paints to suit her interests and believes in painting as a means of story telling; a small, brightly colored slice of life. She is internationally known for her Palm Tree series which involve minimal compositions and a brilliant color palette. In her recent work she has pursued her interest in texture and pattern as well as an interest in the traditional women’s craft of quilt making by adding elements of collage and weaving to her Paintings.
