Margam Country Park in the suburb of Margam, Port Talbot, Wales is steeped in history and open all year round, here visitors will find wildlife and natural beauty, the Margam Castle and the Orangery which was built in the late 1700's to house a large collection of orange, lemon and citron trees. There's also a Deer Park with a herd roaming over 500 acres of parkland as well as the Margam Park Train a Narrow gauge railway which takes you on a journey from the car park to the Castle with spectacular views along the way in the diesel powered locomotive with three covered carriages. The Castle at Margam Country Park, is a 19th Century Tudor Gothic Mansion built all the way back in 1830 - 1840, and the Great Hallway is on display to the public while the Castle Courtyard houses the visitor centre and gift shop, the Castle is also available for private hire for exclusive use and paranormal investigations with lots of strange unexplained paranormal activity reported. The park also has an adventure playground, the Go Ape, a high wire adventure and Fairytale Land for children as well as farm trail with rare breeds of animals, as well as an incredible range of activities to enjoy, come for an unforgettable visit.
