Glenthorne Station now comprises the former Ryton Station and Glenthorne Station. We refer to the former Ryton Station as ?Lower Glenthorne? and the previous Glenthorne Station as ?Upper Glenthorne? in Darfield RD2, Canterbury in New Zealand.

Glenthorne Station is a 62,352 acre high country station preserved almost entirely in its natural state. It is nestled on the shores of Lake Coleridge, in the spectacular Southern Alps. Only 1 & ½ hour?s drive west of Christchurch or 30 minutes from SH72 at Windwhistle or SH73 at Lake Lyndon. We have a wonderful range of accommodation, adventures and conference facilities available on the station to suit your budget.

A variety of accommodation is available at Glenthorne Station, including 7 private ensuite chalets that include dinner and breakfast at the homestead, two self-catering Lodges that can sleep up to 19 people, 2 self-catering holiday houses and the ?Retreat? which is a real wilderness experience being only accessible by four wheel drive. There are four different areas of the station that the accommodation options are located and all are set in the superb mountain scenery of Glenthorne Station in Darfield RD2, Canterbury.
