Mousehole was described by Dylan Thomas as one of the loveliest villages in Cornwall and it remains largely unspoiled today with comparatively little development. Narrow streets and cobbled alleys wind down between pretty granite and slate cottages to the harbour where in winter, baulks of timber close off the entrance to provide protection from the open sea.
