Crown Hotel Guest House

Crown Hotel Guest House in Inverness, Highland, United Kingdom | Guest House

Welcome to the Crown Hotel Guest House in Inverness, Highland, Scotland. Built in 1890, this Victorian terraced villa is in a peaceful and central location of Inverness.
A very popular Guest House for many years, it is a short 5 minute walk from the train/bus stations and the Tourist Information office. Local owners Gordon and Catriona Barbour have been in the business for several years and will make you very welcome. Our knowledge of the history of Scotland and in particular Inverness and the Highlands and Islands is exceptional and we are happy to answer all your questions.
At the Crown Hotel Guest House there is a choice of 6 guest bedrooms: Single - Double - Twin
and Family rooms (sleeping 3 or 4). All rooms are en-suite or with private facilities.
Please note that a Double room has 1 double bed and is intended for a couple. A Twin room has 2 separate single beds. Both family rooms have a double bed and a single bed with the space to add a further portable bed in order to sleep 4.
To relax please use the residents lounge located on the first floor. This traditional Victorian drawing room with its bay window gives views to the Black Isle, Moray Firth and beyond.
With comfortable couches and an expansive selection of books to choose from you can spend an enjoyable evening in comfort. A real home from home the lounge has a large screen digital TV, games consoles, DVDs and traditional board games for the whole family to enjoy.
We will recommend tours and the best places to visit. Our personally produced room guides include details on eating out and walks around the city of Inverness.
Our guests just love the location of the Crown Hotel, Guest House, Inverness, highland, Scotland. The street is very quiet as it is seldom used by city traffic. There are 2 easy pedestrian routes that reach the city centre in much less than 5 minutes. The Castle can be viewed as you walk down Raining's Stairs (nothing to do with the weather but a former Inverness resident) and very quickly you can be walking along the banks of the river.
The Crown area is a popular residential part of Inverness, actually close to the site of a cattle market some 200 years ago. The market has been a car park for many years now but this accounts for some of the names in the area, such as the Market Brae Steps that lead up to Ardconnel Street.
We enjoy making new acquaintances and talking about the part of the world where you come from.
