Welcome to Ceilidh Cafe, Ullapool, Scotland. "Gastronomy is the art of using food to create happiness." This may be true . My own view is that food is more complex than that.
Whether I am preparing some traditional dishes like cullen skink or stovies, I want you to remember the taste like it was the first time. If it is your first time, then I want you to remember the taste until the next time.
So you could say, I am in the memory business. But as this is the Ceilidh Cafe, Ullapool, everything is interconnected. The food is part of the memory. Great beer, fine wine, warm drinks, fires, music and conversation all blend together to make your visit memorable . It is also important to point out I strive for a menu that is as much fun for you as it is for me.
I am proud of our menu and it is a living thing.
