Plettenberg Bay is a holiday maker's paradise and the eco-tourists dream. For the nature lover there is a wealth of fauna and flora. Prolific bird life. Great spot for birdwatchers. The beautiful blue bay itself is a stunning sight.

Each of the five en-suite double rooms at Bitou River Lodge has its own entrance, patio, TV, bar fridge, and barbeque facilities. Every room is heated and the guest lounge and breakfast room also have cozy fireplaces. Dinner reservations can be arranged.

There are many forest and coastal hiking trails in the area varying in distance. Mountain biking and horse riding are popular and there are numerous forest trails. The bay encompasses a rare richness of marine life making it ideal for diving and snorkeling. There are great opportunities for freshwater and seawater fishing. Canoes can be provided.
