Bason Farm Holidays' pretty stone built Victorian Farmhouse is surrounded by idyllic country gardens where a large pond is the refuge for our ducks and a variety of wildlife, an ideal 'spot' to sit and ponder, or, perhaps gifted artists might 'capture the moment' on canvas! The exquisite en suite bedrooms are both cosy and spacious, offering charming antique furniture with great care and attention given to comfort and warmth. Our 230 acre working Farm has been owned by the family for over 100 years (5 generations!) in Holsworthy in England in the United Kingdom. Traditional Farming methods, such as organic beef and sheep, combined with countryside stewardship help maintain the 'older countryside', with rolling pastures, thick hedgerows and banks and lush green fields. Recently 11.4 hectares of land have been planted to a mixture of broad leafed trees, firs and woodland shrubs. Another pond has been excavated making use of the natural springs and encouraging water fowl.

Situated in the heart of Tarka country, we are ideally situated for touring Devon and North Cornwall. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy breathtaking views following the scenic coastal routes, or delight in the well known Tarka trail and North Tamar Walkway routes. (O.S. maps available). The wild but beautiful Dartmoor and Exmoor combined with the famous and quaint villages such as Clovelly, Hartland and Tintagel make Devon one of the most popular English locations.

The wide and sandy beaches, such as Westward Ho!, Bude and Widemouth Bay are ideal for bathing and surfing. The traditional market towns of Holsworthy and Hatherleigh with their weekly livestock and street markets are only 10 minutes drive away. Holsworthy also having an indoor sports centre and swimming pool. Historical Torrington with its 1646 Exhibition, also offers the world renowned Dartington Crystal and the RHS gardens of Rosemoor. The celebrated Eden Project is within easy reach and enchanting Lundy island with its own marine reserve and bird sanctuary is only 11 miles from the coast with regular boat trips available.
