Located along the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee, Indiana's second largest natural lake, Culver is an ideal community for recreation, raising a family, or retirement. In addition to the extensive recreational activities provided by the lake, Culver offers several restaurants, one public and two private golf courses, a strong public school system, and a world-class boarding school and summer camp. Located in North Central Indiana, downtown Culver is snugged against the shores of beatiful Lake Maxinkuckee, the second largest natural lake in Indiana at 1864 acres. The northern shore is home to the world-renowned Culver Military Academy and Culver Girls Academy. Culver's population of approximately 1500 people in the winter and around 4000 during the summer, reflects the draw of the lake.

Located on the downtown lakeshore, Culver's Town Park offers swimming, refreshments, large picnic areas, and kids play areas. Other features include Mystic Hills Golf course, an 18-hole Pete Dye designed course off the lakes south side, a downtown theater, coffee shop, breakfast cafes, and many fine and casual dining restaurants. Browse through our unique shops, or meet friends for a leisurely meal at one of our many top-notch eateries. Explore new places to stay and lots of great activities… all the while taking in the beautiful views from every angle. Watch the water and feel yourself unwind and rejuvenate.
