When you are in Halmstad you do not have to go far to find our lovely beaches, deep mushroom forests and nice fishing waters. The distance between the golf courses is more or less non existing. The same goes for the airport and the railway station which practically lies within walking distance from the city! In the city you can choose between shopping in the petite, eccentric special shops which both have an exclusive offer as well as the broad selection of second hand clothing. You can enjoy football, ice hockey, handball and ping-pong at elite level. The trotting-track is active throughout the year with the "Sprintermästaren" (Sprinterchampion) as its crown.

Art pause The outdoor surroundings offer many beautiful sculptures. The museums and galleries have exhibitions with both Swedish and international artists. The well known Halmstadgroup have their own exhibit at Mjellby Art Gallery. During Ascension Day the local artists and galleries opens their studios and it is called "Konstliv Halland". Carpe Diem During the year Halmstad offers things like concerts, movies, lections, sports, guided tours and festivals. At the theatre there are different shows.
