Falkenberg has a special charm and vitality all year round. A really exciting and attractive alternative for anyone who wants to leave the stress and bustle of the big town areas. Falkenberg and water belong to each other. Here you have the River Ätran and the sea. Fresh and salt water meet. It´s nearness to the sea gives Falkenberg much of its soul. More or less the whole coast is lined with wonderful beaches. The surrounding countryside and the fertile Ätra valley offers plenty of opportunities for excursions into woods and fields, and why not take a walk along the river Ätran. In the evenings we can recommend one of our many restaurants or pubs that have live-music most evenings in the week. Falkenberg has really gone in for renewing itself during the 90´s. The expression "Pure environment, pure energy and pure food" has been a guiding star when the Falkenberg municipality plans for the future.

There are lots of watering holes and restaurants in Falkenberg. The night life has in the latter years developed to become almost continental, with open-air restaurants/café and diners. Everything is available, from cosy cafés to gourmet-restaurants, from pub crawls with live music to dancing night with top Swedish dance orchestras. Falkenberg is a unique place in the world. This is obvious to us living here. Our lovely surroundings are full of contrasts. We love the sea with its long, sandy beaches, the forests and the many lakes, the cosiness of the towns and villages and the beautiful countryside of Ätradalen. We are happy and proud to invite you here to enjoy what Falkenberg has to offer.
