Lohme stands at the beginning of the Ruegen - tourism. In 1855 it was the first Ruegener lake. At the time, drawcards were the romantic nature, the Cretaceous rocks, the beech forests, the hills and the majestic tombs situated on the hill. By 1945 Lohme went into oblivion, and it was newly discovered after 1989. The happiness of oblivion preserved the city's idyllic-romantich charm. Lohme is a paradise for lovers, romantics, nature lovers, hikers. Lohme is famous for its fantastic location, the most beautiful sunrise and sunset on the island of Ruegen, the beautiful hiking trails, the eye contact for Cape Arkona, the swan stone, the small glider port etc. Hotels, guest houses, restaurants and arts and crafts have settled down here and offer something for every taste. Especially recommended are the Café Niedlich, and the panorama of Lake Terrace restaurants in the Panorama Hotel Lohme.
