Utting, with its population of nearly 4000 slopes directly down to the beautiful Ammersee in the district of Landsberg am Lech. Utting, 532 metres above sea level, with the local parts Achselschwang Holzhausen. There is a steamer pier, a Uferweg overlooking the beautiful landscape and a sailing club. Utting originally belonged to the Andechs Monastery, and was part of the Kurfürstentums Bavaria. Only in the course of the Bavarian administrative reforms with the 1818 Edict the of town of today's community Utting emerged.

The residents and visitors are offered a wonderful quality of life, a variety of restaurants exist, as well as numerous hotels, apartments, service providers, businesses and doctors. For young families and their children, there are kindergartens and a primary school. Only the transport connection is not so ideal, only one train every hour goes by, but it takes less than an hour to Munich. Thanks to the numerous offers on the spot, this is also not particularly painful. Apartment seekers even benefit, because land prices and rents are slightly lower than in Herrsching on the east side of the lake Bunting, but there is also a severe housing shorthage and it is difficult to find Free / Land, because only a few new development areas are identified.
