Velika Gorica is a town in Zagreb county, Croatia.

The island of VIR is situated about 25 km north-west from Zadar in North Dalmatia and is connected with the mainland by bridge. This 22,5 km large island, by the Italian name of "Punta Dura" (the stony strand), presents itself to the visitor by varigated sceneries, such as those of the rocky tracts of land interspersed with pines and vineyards, fig and olive trees.
