Hillarys is a suburb located in Perth, Western Australia within the City of Joondalup. The postcode of Hillarys is 6025. Hillarys is about 20 minutes drive North of Perth and right on the coast. Hillarys is named after an early settler of the area, a Gallipoli war veteran Bertram John Hillarys. Shopping There are two shopping centers in Hillarys, One large one small. The Larger shopping center in Hillarys is Westfield Whiford City, and the smaller one is called Hillarys Shopping Center. Westfield Whitford City has 3 Major Stores (Big W, Woolworths and Action) a swell as over 100 minor stores. Hillarys Shopping Center has 1 major store (Coles) and about 10 Minor stores. Both shopping centers have restauraunts. Tourists There are a number of tourist attractions not too far from Hillarys. The main one is Hillarys Boat Harbour or Sorrento Quay which is Perths second most visited tourist attraction and is within walking distance from anywhere in Hillarys. Its also an easy travel either in car or public transport to get to other locations such as Yanchep National Park, Whiteman Park, Perth City, Kings Park. The nearest accomodation locations are at the Hillarys Harbour Resort, The Sorrento Beach Resort or at the only 5 star resort on the Perth coast, the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel. Transport Hillarys is excellently connected to Perths public transport system, There are three nearby stations and about 6 bus routes that travel through the suburbs towards them. The stations close to Hillarys are Whitfords, Warwick and Greenwood.

All are on the Joondalup Line of the Transperth train service which runs trains between Perth and Clarkson. Changing at Perth(City) station for Fremantle Line, Armadale Line, and Midland Line. Ferry Hillarys Boat harbour is also the loaction of the Hillarys Fast Ferries office. This is where the ferry "seaflyte" departs on its regular trips to Rottnest, Both Hillarys and Fremantle are the only loactions where the ferries to Rottnest depart from.
