Kuils River is situated in the northern suburbs, we like to refer to it as the gateway to Cape Towns wine routes. At the entrance of Kuilsrivier travelling from Bellville along Voortrekker road you will find the NetCare private hospital. From Macassar you are greeted by a large scrap yard / metal processing plant.
All major shopping malls namely, Tygervalley Centre, Fairbridge Mall, Somerset mall and the newest addition CapeGate, are easily accessible. Business district expanding as more franchises establish their footprint in Kuils River. Area also supported by a wide spectrum of service provider companies including general practitioners (GP) and other medical services.
The property business is booming. It is supported by all major estate agencies including privately owned estate agents.
Large number of creches well positioned in the Kuilsrivier area. Primary and high schools nearing capacity as demand increases. Definite need for more schools. Government has started to address this need by starting development of a school in Highbury. Major tertiary institutions in a 30km radius namely University of the Western Cape (UWC), University of South Africa (UNISA), Peninsula Technicon (PENTECH), University of Stellenbosch and many other training institutions.
