Royal Victoria Yacht Club in Victoria, BC, was founded in 1892, is considered to be one of the oldest yacht clubs in Western Canada, and to this day, continues to provide members with excellent activities and service. At our yacht club you can get away from everyday stresses and start cruising, enjoy activities with family and friends, and end a fun day with an excellent meal in our dining room, or a drink in our relaxing waterfront pub. The aim of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club is to stimulate and encourage interest in yachting, boating and seamanship and to promote sportsmanship in competitive sailing, and in so doing to preserve yachting traditions. We offer various sailing instruction programs that are suitable for adults and children, such as basic sailing and racing skills, development of existing skills and advanced training, and these programs are all conducted whilst you are sailing in the beautiful Cadboro Bay. Bear Mountain Golf in Victoria, offers golfers two courses to choose from, the Mountain Course or the Valley course, both courses provide stunning views of the breathtaking landscape. Included in our rates are power cart with GPS, club valet, club cleaning services and warm up balls on the practice facility. The Mountain Course at the foothills of Mount Finlayson, offers a balance between a challenging golf experience or just average playability regardless of the skill levels of golfers. This course with its rolling fairways and panoramic views of mountain and ocean will beckon you back again and again for exciting rounds of golf. The Valley Course is a few hundred yards shorter than the Mountain Course, and has wider fairways, fewer bunkers and golfers regard this course, although still challenging, as a more friendly one. At Bear Mountain we offer lesson programs for golfers of all skill levels, with multi-day golf schools, a choice of private lessons as well as several group options, and our golf shop can provide golfers with everything they could possibly need for an exciting round of golf.
