South African Sailing Keelboat Rating System was developed at the instance of the South African National Sailing Authorities to provide a national yacht rating database suitable for keelboats enabled with a national yacht rating (a.k.a. yacht handicap) single rating number in order that yachts can race anywhere in South Africa on the same rating number.
