The Static Line course 6 hour training includes learning how equipment works and how to fly and land a parachute safely. After training, the student is taken to the Drop Zone in the Namib Desert and will be taken up to 3000 feet after which the student will drop from the static line open the chute and float gently back to earth - pure exhilaration.

Ground Rush Adventures Tandem Skydiving in Swakopmund offer Tandem skydiving from the drop zone in the Namib desert. Before skydiving you receive training from your tandem master and then proceed to the aircraft for an exhilarating and breathtaking scenic flight up to 10 000 feet above Swakopmund and the surrounding area. After a cross check and last debriefing you head for the aircraft shuttle door and fall from the aircraft towards the ground at a speed of approximately 200km/h. After about 30 seconds of free fall the tandem master will deploy the parachute and you will float gently down to earth under a fully inflated parachute and till you reach ground zero - there's nothing like it - you'll want to go again.
