Assonautica Sailing School in Tarquinia, with the guidance of professional instructors, teach the sport of sailing on the sea to young and old. Authorized by the Italian Sailing Federation, and with a full fleet of boats the Assonautica Sailing School teaches people how to sail with intent of participating in regattas. Courses include lectures and lessons by qualified instructors in various specialties, covering sailboats, caravelles and catamarans.

Assonautica Canoe Courses in Tarquinia offer free equipment and life jackets and with the guidance of professional instructors adults and juniors can master the difficult sport of canoeing in the sea. Basic courses are available for people with no experience of kayaking the open waters as well as specialization courses for those that wish to deepen their knowledge or get back into the water after a break. Participants will be provided with all the materials needed for the lessons, except their own wetsuits, hats or caps.

Calshot Sailing Club provides for excellent sailing on the Solent, while the clubhouse affords excellent views for spectators to watch the racing. A safe beach is nearby for non sailors and young ones to enjoy all the entertainment that is on offer. Courses are available run by club instructors and coaches to all sailors no matter their abilities and club dinghies are available for hire. There is racing nearly every weekend in season and cruising to the Isle of Wight and other areas of the Solent.
