Welcome to The West Side Co-Op PreSchool, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The West Side Co-Op PreSchool, Saint John, New Brunswick is a non-profit organization, maintained and administered by the parents of the enrolled children. Qualified teaching staff are employed to guide the educational program.
The young child is the focal point of our School. The cornerstone of our philosophy is to accept all children as individuals and to help them develop and grow at their own rate and in all areas: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical.
We subscribe to the idea that play is learning for the 2 to 5 year old and that play is truly the "work" of the young child.
The School has been recognized by the educational community as a valuable resource for training students who are to work with young children. In the past, students from the School of Nursing, and presently students from the Early Childhood Education Program at NBCC, as well as co-operative students from District 8, have used the School for observation and internships. The School hopes and expects to continue to serve the community as an educational facility for children and parents in the future.
