During the summer of 1998 the Village Inn was the Seaside Heights headquarters motel for the cast and crew of the MTV Summer Beach House.   In addition to housing MTV personnel, Village Inn served as a backdrop for some of the special events of the summer, including the Spice Girls look-alike contest.
