The Unicorn Inn

The Unicorn Inn in Fife, Fife, United Kingdom | Restaurant

Take one 17th Century coaching inn in the heart of a historic port town, spend a few months sprucing it up, add only the finest locally produced ingredients, and mix with a generous helping of Scottish and Irish hospitality. Welcome to the Unicorn Bar Grill and Restaurant, extablished 1639.
Originally a coaching inn, The Unicorn Inn was the birthplace of celebrated physicist and chemist Sir James Dewar (1842-1923), inventor of the vacum flask, and the first person to liquefy hydrogen gas. With this heritage of innovation behind them, owners Tony and Liz Budde were inspired to create a unique location the combines rural charm with contemporary style. The end result is quite unlike anything else you'll find in Scotland.
"The perfect antidote to winter with it's cosy interiors, a crackling log fire and a fresh selection of well-cooked locally sourced food" Joanna Blythman, Sunday Herald
