Truckee Railroad Museum in Truckee, California, is operated by the Truckee Donner Railroad Society, and this unique Museum is located in a caboose that is located next to the historic railroad station. The interior of the Museum is filled with interesting stories, pictures and railroad artifacts showing the impact that railroads make in the formation and development of our historic town. Many old rail cars have been purchased by the Railroad Society, and after restoration will be available for viewing. The Truckee Railroad Museum is well worth a visit and a recorded interpretation and overhead spotlights features such as camps, steam donkeys and many other interesting exhibits.
