Toledo Repertoire Theatre in Toledo, Lucas County, United States | Theatre

Welcome to the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, Toledo, United States. In 1933, Theatre activist Fred Emmett could hardly have imagined that by gathering together a few like-minded people he would start a community Theatre group that would celebrate more than 70 successful seasons.

On June 8, 1933, the very first Toledo Rep performance, Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, was held at Collingwood Presbyterian Church. By the next season, The Toledo Repertoire TheatreToledo's first community Theatre group — moved into and renovated The 10th Street Theatre, which today remains as The Rep's "Mainstage." The Toledo Repertoire Theatre began as a membership-only Theatre, but by the 1960s, productions were opened to the general public and in 1963, the first full-time Artistic Director was hired. At the time, the organization was still known by its original name, "The Repertoire Little Theatre," but this was changed to The Toledo Repertoire Theatre after another renovation of the 10th Street Building was completed.

Today, The Toledo Repertoire Theatre continues in its proud tradition with another season of quality theatrical productions.
