Thornwood Lodge, a luxury private retreat within Kuleni Game Park near Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. Nestled in a 150 hectares of pristine natural bush, offering self guided walking trails amongst an abundance of bird life and game. The park is a neighbour to the famous Phinda Game Reserve and The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, now a world heritage site. The Hluhluwe - Umfolozi Game Park, known for it's Big 5 is right on your doorstep as well as a wide variety of activities and interesting sites to visit.

Thornwood Lodge offers luxury accommodation of up to 8 people in a self-catering, fully serviced, upmarket Lodge.

A unique blend of luxury timber frame units blend seamlessly into the surrounding bush and offer superior comfort, second only to the natural beauty Mother Nature has to offer..

The Main Unit consists of:
A spacious lounge and entertainment area with a deck pool, DSTV, pool table and a study nook. Thornwood has a large well fitted kitchen with all modern day conveniences. The kitchen leads out onto a large firepit deck which is perfect for evening braais and fireside chats, canopied by spectacular night skies unique to Africa. Included in the main unit are 2 full en-suite bedrooms which have outdoor showers and bath tubs that open out to the African bush.

Tamboti and Podberry:
Another 2 separate bedroom units offer privacy and seclusion positioned under magnificent indigenous trees and are both linked to the main unit by short walkways.

Kuleni Game Park itself offers self-guided walking trails with an abundance of bird-life and game such as Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala, Wildebeest and Impala.
