Taverna Paralia

Taverna Paralia in Sfakia, Chania, Greece | Restaurant

Taverna Paralia, the first taverna on your right hand side once you step from the ferry boat. Don't hesitate to go in, take a seat and enjoy the familiar atmosphere.

The Taverna is being run by its owners Manolis and his brother Nikos, both true Cretans from the village of Komitades. You will find out that they are extremely helpful for any kind of problems you may have run into (and tourists sometimes have many problems such as missing a boat and being stranded); but don't worry you will be taken good care of.

There are plenty of rooms to be let, comfortable and spacious equipped with refrigerator and air condition, with view towards the sea or if you prefer so towards the mountain side, with two or three beds; the prices are very reasonable indeed . Stay a few days and find out by yourself!!!

The taverna is very popular in the evenings, not only for the few tourist who normally are those picking their way along the E4-hiking track and having a good rest for a night, but also for the local people being it the crew from some boats, the priest , Manolis' and Nikos' friends. The atmosphere is light and easy going and if you are lucky Manolis and his friends feel like singing their cretan songs just for the fun of it.
