Executive chefs Frank Tramontano and Mary Spellman, along with restaurateur Sean Kehlenbeck, have recently opened Q Restaurant, a Mediterranean-American grill that has invigorated the Hamptons’ historic Inn at Quogue. As diners approach the Inn, they find a circa-1785 New England farmhouse; inside, however, is a modern, sexy 200-seat dining room with a late-night lounge, a hedge-enclosed outdoor patio, and a room for private events. The Restaurant’s diverse menu features both modern Mediterranean-American offerings such as tuna tartare in crisp cheese “coral reef†and traditional grill fare like 16-ounce sirloin steaks dry-aged on the premises. Frank and Mary also run Couture Catering (recently featured on the Food Network’s “Behind the Bashâ€Â), and they have years of experience planning special events for the area’s most discerning clients. They pride themselves on creating unique menus tailored to clients’ specific needs, whether it be an off-site luncheon for 200, or a five-course dinner with matching wines for 25 served in the Restaurant’s private dining room.
