Welcome to The Old School House Arts Centre, the artistic focal point for the area, located in the heart of the picturesque community of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, Canada. Over 30,000 visitors cross The Old School House Arts Centre threshold every year, from every corner of the world.
The upstairs level of The Old School House Arts Centre presents changing fine art exhibitions in the Brown Gallery, Dorothy Francis Gallery and Volunteers Gallery. Also upstairs are two working studios for artists, as well as our classroom.
The main floor of The Old School House Arts Centre has working studios for pottery, painting, jewellery, photography and bonsai. Also on the main floor is the Gift Gallery.
Continuing its history of providing learning experiences in Qualicum Beach, The Old School House Arts Centre offers a full schedule of art classes in the winter and fall. These classes are complemented by workshops conducted throughout the year and a summer school program. All are taught by professional teaching artists.
These learning experiences are an important part of The Old School House Arts Centre mandate, as they promote participation and enjoyment of artistic endeavour for all age groups.
