Built in 1889 by Senator F.W. Hastings, son of Port Townsend's founding father Loren B. Hastings, the mansion served as the residence and office of the German Consul from 1908 to 1911.
Today  Old Consulate Inn carries the designation of National Historic Landmark and State Landmark, and is listed on the Official Register of National Historic Places. Your hosts, Michael and Sue DeLong, have furnished  Old Consulate Inn with an incredible collection of period antiques, including many pieces which were original to the mansion.
