Nestling on the South Cornish coast in thickly wooded countryside between the famous 'Packet' harbour of Falmouth and the romantic Helford estuary, Meudon has unique family run accommodation set in a timeless sub-tropical valley leading to its own private sea beach at Bream Cove.

Developed in 1966 by Mr and Mrs Harry Pilgrim now managed by their son Mark the family's third generation Hotelier, Meudon is our fourth Hotel by the village of Mawnan Smith since 1929. We represent an haven of peace and tranquility where guests can enjoy unashamed luxury, a pleasant social ambience, excellent cuisine, a choice of fine wines and traditional standards of personal service.

Meudon stands amidst hundreds of acres of National Trust coastline, including Rosemullion, Chenalls & Nansidwell and adjacent to the great gardens of Trebah, Glendurgan, Carwinion & Penjerrick all access Cornwall's South West Coastal path. Through our own 'Fox' hanging gardens c.1800 you can walk to Durgan, the Ferry Boat Inn, Duchy of Cornwall Oyster Farm and Frenchman's Creek, areas made famous by novelists Daphne du Maurier and Rosemunde Pilcher. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are only 45 minutes away.

Dining at Meudon is a pleasure for all the senses- a pleasure you are encouraged to indulge. The elegant, award winning, restaurant provides extensive garden views where you may dine beneath a fruiting vine. The ambiance, attention to detail and unobtrusive service, further compliment the truly outstanding presentation of finely prepared meals- created from fresh local ingredients by talented chefs.
