Nestled in the village of beautiful Lopez Island, situated on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, amid vistas of the Olympic peaks and breathtaking sunsets, sits the Lopez Center for Community & the Arts. Flanked on the west by the village green of â??Sallyâ??s Gardenâ? and a park-like setting on the remaining sides, Lopez Center stands out as a jewel of the San Juans.
Lopez Center is the result of the vision of a group of Lopezians who wished to create a special place where islanders could gather to celebrate, share, appreciate the arts and exchange ideas. Through countless hours of volunteer labor and the donations of many generous islanders, the dream of Lopez Center became a reality. Today, Lopez Center is the site of many island events, both home-grown and imported from the mainland. The Center features nationally renowned artists as well as local talented performers. Everyone is welcome.
Likewise, the facility is available for both community and private functions, including weddings, birthday parties, dinners, dances, meetings and fundraisers.
