Welcolme to Glen Orchy House, Lerwick, Scotland. Glen Orchy House was built in 1904 by the Episcopalian church as a convent, Glen Orchy House was known as the 'House of Charity' until the 1920's, when it became the Rectory to St Magnus Church here in Lerwick. Sold into private ownership in 1969. Acquired by the present owners Trevor and Joan Howarth in 1991. Since then the house has been sympathetically renovated and extended in keeping with the original style, whilst providing every modern comfort for the discerning guest turning this stunning house into Guest House accommodation / bed and breakfast.

The Guest House accommodation / bed and breakfast now offers 100% en-suite facilities comprising of 5 doubles, 6 singles, 7 twins, one of which is on the ground floor with facilities for the disabled, and 4 family rooms with either 3 single beds or twin beds and a bunk bed. All of the rooms in the new wing of the Guest House accommodation boast underfloor central heating, air conditioning and satellite television. Fax and VCR facilities are available for use on request.

The lounge on the ground floor of Glen Orchy House contains the 'Honesty Bar', where guests may enjoy drinks before or after meals, there are also board games and a selection of books for general reading with a number of them having a Shetland theme, its life and folklore.
