Gethsemane Gardens is a "must visit". Perched high on the side of Clifton Hill, it offers amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, the snowy peaks of the Southern Alps, and Christchurch City.
This garden is special for more than its magnificent vistas and luxuriant plantings. It is a romantic and spiritual place - a place for the renewal of the soul.
You can do a self-guided tour or make a booking for Weddings, Christenings, Funerals, or other special events. The St. Cecilia Chapel is of trellis construction and is at the end of the arched Bridal Path.
A unique building, unmistakably Noah’s Ark, has just been completed and comprises the Arkangel Chapel and reception areas on the lower decks (photo below). It's ideal also for Conferences and Seminars.
