Friends of the Aviary in Hamilton, Ontario, are dedicated to the preservation and advancement of the Aviary and the care of its birds, and is run by a group of volunteers. Here you can view a mixed collection of birds including large and smaller parrots, parakeets, peacocks, and many species of finches and doves. Friends of the Aviary is a wonderful attraction to visit with parrots on display and public viewing available, and they also promote awareness of nature as an eco tourism educational tool. There are special sponsorship programs available if you wish to adopt a bird, and you can become an honorary parent, so adopt your favorite bird and help to look after it.
