Welcome to Farmers Corner Café and Retail Complex in Ashburton. Farmers Corner has been involved in the tourism industry since 1984 as both a New Zealand product retailer and also a refreshment stop for hundreds of thousands of international inbound tourists. You can be reassured of our commitment to excellent quality, price’s and service. Our new location gives us the ability to mix all nations together, with a separate café from the retail area and a relaxed friendly environment set in a rural location. Our new complex offers a variety of modern services ensuring that all visitors are catered for as much as possible.
Farmers Corner Café
Our 74 seat Café features a wide range of freshly prepared food including rolls, sandwiches, slices, cakes, savoury food as well as a selection of more substantial hot meals. We also serve a wide variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks which can be purchased to take out also. On fine days customers are able to sit outside in our courtyard area and enjoy the fresh air and rural outlook.
We pride ourselves on being able to serve our customers promptly as we know the schedules they have are reasonably tight.
Farmers Corner Retail Shop
After nearly 20 years in this industry we have built good relationships with some of New Zealand’s top suppliers of quality products including Liberty, Snowy Peak, Lyle and Scott, and Hallifax, just to name a few. We carry a substantial range of duvets, underlays, woollen clothing, sheepskins, alpaca products, health food, skincare and of course plenty of NZ souvenirs. Our products represent value for money to all customers. We will also package the customer’s goods in boxes ready for check-in on their aircraft home.
