What does Egoist mean to me? It means I'm an ambitious philosopher of wines and a catering director of all cuisines. Coming in after you, if you will, invisibly or in the flesh, I'll take care of every mouthful and every gulp from my kitchen and cellar ... sure that you're an Egoist too.
But I am completely non-partisan concerning the colour of your eyes, or lesser used mother tongue - treat it tenderly, talk to me, I'm your friend!
We, the Egoists, deserve the best in the world, and it must be served to us right now. Not any old kind of endeavoured French cuisine or Neue Sachlichkeit of the German Krüch or mocking of English cooking mixed Russian & Chinese, but all that we realised in our childhood dreams and never had the time or chance to taste in delight. Alas, we have all been Egoistically told that you just can't find that kind of place nowadays ... where healthy, natural, perfect meals match the sophisticated selection of the most charming vintage wines. But it's here - you've dropped into the place of your old romance! It's a fair game, so don't be afraid!
