The Daisy Polk Inn

The Daisy Polk Inn in Dallas, Dallas County, United States | Bed and Breakfast

Welcome to The Daisy Polk Inn in Dallas, Texas in the United States. The Daisy Polk Inn was originally built in 1904 and the restoration of this lovely Arts and Crafts home was completed in 2002. The Inn is named for its long-time owner, Miss Daisy Polk, who occupied the home for over 60 years. Miss Polk was an ?up and coming star? in the Dallas opera world according to the Dallas Press. She studied in Europe with Caruso and taught at the prestigious Hockaday School for girls in Dallas, Texas. The report from her cousin, Mr. Lucius Polk of Houston, Texas, who inherited the home when Miss Daisy died, is that Miss Daisy was very involved in entertaining American troops who were being shipped overseas during the Second World War.
Wayne Falcone, the present owner and operator of The Daisy Polk Inn, purchased the property from Mr. Polk in 1996 and began an extensive restoration with the assistance of Mr. Gerald Tomlin of Gerald Tomlin and Associates of Dallas and New York.
The home is filled with antiques from Europe and the northeastern states of the USA. The colors for the interior walls, wall paper and draperies are those of the Arts and Crafts period when the home was originally built.
When the home was given historical status, it was also given the approval to be licensed as a Bed and Breakfast facility. That is how The Daisy Polk Inn came to be. We hope that you will enjoy staying with us at the Inn.
The accommodations in the main house are the Daisy Suite, the Reagan Suite and the Dickason Suite. All suites have private bath facilities. The Daisy Suite and the Reagan Suite have queen size beds and the Dickason Suite has a double bed. A two night minimum is required on weekends and holidays.
The room rates include breakfast with freshly baked muffins, scones and other tasty treats. French is spoken here.
