The Chief Commanda II is a 320-passenger, all aluminum twin hull vessel that cruises at a speed of 15 knots or 17 mph.
The ship is equipped with two bars, handicapped accessible
washrooms, snack bar and open-air BBQ. On-board entertainment is
featured every Sunday.
The Chief features three decks. The main and second deck
areas are enclosed with outside viewing areas. The top deck
is open with seating and standing room, where passengers can
enjoy the sunshine and a first class view...the perfect opportunity for picture taking.
History of the Chief
The Chief Commanda II was built by Marlin Yacht Company of
Gananoque and is the first all aluminum, catamaran (twin-hull)
passenger vessel in Canada. The Chief Commanda II was a new
dimension in luxury and service equipped with electrically heated
decks, comfortable seating, food and refreshment services. The
Chief Commanda II is ideal for relaxation and comfort.
Especially designed for cruising these northern waters, the Chief
Commanda II is approximately 100 feet long, 36 feet in the beam
(width), and is powered by four, turbo-charged diesel engines built by Penta A/B of Gothenborg, Sweden.
