Yearly physical and laboratory evaluations, preventative dental care and timely, appropriate immunizations are encouraged by the doctor and staff. The yearly visit not only evaluates your cat's physical condition but also his/her dietary and behavior habits. The doctor will discuss any important findings with you and formulate a plan for your cat's continued good health. If your cat has a problem, we will listen to your concerns, explain treatment options, and work with you to make your cat comfortable and well again.

Dr. Hoyt grew up in Cumberland,Maine. She graduated from Bowdoin College and then conducted cancer research at the Medical School of Bern, Switzerland. She did masters work in clinical nutrition at U. Of Illinois before receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the U. of Wisconsin in 1990. She initially trained to work with zoo Animals at both the San Diego Zoo and Marine World before completing an internship in Small Animal Surgery and Medicine. She has been specializing in cats since 1991. She lives at Higgins Beach with her husband and four cats.

Debi Emmons has been the receptionist at Cats on Call Scarborough since 2002. She is an expert at getting every patient the appointment they need. Debi is in charge of all special orders and always has her hand on the pulse of what's going on in the office. She works closely with Roman the feline greeter to make everyone feel welcome. Debi lives in Gray with her husband and daughter. They have a dog and a cat named Tiger.
