Welcome to Castle Gate House Gallery, Cockermouth, Scotland. Castle Gate House Gallery exhibits contemporary paintings, sculpture, ceramics, from English, Scottish and World artists. These include Cumbrian painters Sheila Fell, Percy Kelly, Bill Peascod, June Bennett, Charles Oakley, Winifred Nicholson, L S Lowry and Michael Bennett as well as Scottish painters Barbara Rae RA, Marj Bond RSW, Marie Scott, Charles McQueen Sarah Carrington and Christine Woodside.
The listed Georgian house situated in the 'gem town' of Cockermouth in the quiet north west corner of the English Lake District is home to the Castlegate House Gallery. Castle Gate House Gallery exhibits contemporary paintings, sculpture, ceramics jewellery and glass. Specialising in the work of Northern English and Scottish artists which includes Cumbrian painters Sheila Fell, Percy Kelly, Bill Peascod and Michael Bennett, and Scottish painters Barbara Rae RA, Marj Bond, Sandy Murphy, Douglas Davies, Marie Scott, Connie Simmers, and June Redfern. Within the walled Secret Garden there are exhibitions of sculptures and a changing programme of exhibitions and open fires in the winter months.
