Welcome to Cafe Spice Restaurant in Sunderland, England, United Kingdom. Set in a leafy conservation area of Sunderland, this magnificent Victorian building was converted into Cafe Spice in the year 2000. It took several months of intensive repair and refurbishment to turn it into one of the most luxurious Indian Restaurants in the North of England.
There is a well stocked bar and spacious lounge area and the wine is list is of excellent value. We have included old favourites as well as new world wines, carefully selected to be compatible with spicy foods.
Like all good eateries, the main feature is our own menu. Although our style is contemporary, we have not compromised on authenticity.
The main restaurant is set in four adjacent rooms, totalling eighty covers and the dishes we have on our menu reflect our belief in the freshly cooked and lightly spiced philosophy.
Throughout our history, spanning over decades, we firmly believe that the best cooking need not rely on hot spicing but rather on the use of the subtle and often fragrant herbs and spices.
