The Brown Deer Golf Club in Milwaukee WI in the United States, looks forward to its upcoming 75th anniversary in 2009.  On March 12, 1934 the Brown Deer Golf Club was formed as an organizational meeting took place at the clubhouse.  Soon after another meeting took place with Currie, Grant and Greenfield park representives in order to form an alliance that would eventually become the Milwaukee County Public Links Association.

Even in it's early days Brown Deer Golf Club was open to players of all skill levels. The 1934 club president John Drake was quoted saying "Whether a man shoots 75 or 125 makes no difference. Every one not only is welcome, but has an equal opportunity for enjoyment and sharing in the prize awards. All Brown Deer Golf Club events are designed to care for the high handicap players as well as the better shooters". That continues today with all Brown Deer Golf Club events contested by handicap giving all who participate an equal chance of winning if he has his 'A' game on that day.
