Of the best kept bass secrets in the Western Cape is Botterkloof Black Bass Fishing offered at the Botterkloof Resort, just outside Stilbaai in South Africa.

At Botterkloof Black Bass Fishing facilities on the Farm offers 8 chalets - 6km from Stilbaai beach - and four bass dams. In three of them our visitors are allowed to fish with the provision to return caught fish. (Catch and release)

Botterkloof is blessed with three fountains. One of them is a seven eye fountain with beautiful fresh water. These fountains feed the dams that is on a slope with fresh water always running through the dams.

The dams are stocked with Black Bass and Chinese Karp who eat the grass. Then there is lot of frogs supplying toads for the black bass to eat. (We also have installed lights that come on at night supplying insects for the fish). There are benches for mom to sit on and entertainment centre for the kids and jungle gym/trampoline etc.
