Te Anau is the gateway to Fiordland, and is known as the walking capital of the world. The famous Milford Track and also the Kepler Track start here. Activities include fishing, hunting, kayaking, horse-riding, diving, glow-worm caves and sight-seeing in the one of the world's most scenic regions. Te Anau township has many fine restaurants and a good selection of shops, chemist, dentist, doctor, hair salons and so on. The cottages are all freestanding with their own private courtyard and superb views. Each cottage has been individually decorated to a high standard. The bedroom has a queen slat bed with quality linen and an electric blanket. The large en-suite bathroom has heated towel rails, heat lamps, hairdryer, fluffy robes and toiletries. The lounge has cable/SKY TV, phone, a broadband internet connection, plenty of reading material and CD/radio. And if you don't feel like dining at one of our many splendid local restaurants, the kitchen has a fridge, microwave, and a selection of tea and coffee. The cottages have double glazing throughout so are quiet. One cottage has wheelchair access facilities.
