Richards donated the original Hospital in 1922 in honor of her daughter, Katharine. Nearly 90 years later, we are proud to be the largest employer in our region and an affiliate of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems. The Hospital?s primary care practices are located in Blue Hill, Bucksport, Castine, and Stonington.
Blue Hill Memorial Hospital's main campus serves as the anchor of our community-oriented, patient-centered primary healthcare network. New England's first federally designated "Critical Access Hospital" specializes in providing diagnostic, rehabilitative and acute care services in concert with an active medical staff of board-certified physicians.
