Welcome to Ballet Quad Cities, Rock Island, United States. Founded in 1996 by Executive Director Joedy Cook and a dedicated Board of Directors, Ballet Quad Cities, Rock Island is celebrating its 12th anniversary throughout the 2008/09 season. Way back in 1996, one paid dancer and a young talented artistic director, Johanne Jakhelln, made up the company. Before returning to her native country of Norway in the summer of 2005, Johanne created over 40 original Ballets for the eleven highly trained professional dancers that make up today’s versatile company.
Ballet Quad Cities,provides classical and contemporary dance to the entire bi-state region through outstanding performances, entertaining lecture-demonstrations and innovative educational outreach programs for people of all ages.
