Allentown Art Museum in Columbus, Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, United States | Art Museum | Sculpture | Art Galleries

Allentown Art Museum in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been inspiring and educating visitors for more than 75 years, and welcomes over 100 000 visitors per year to the museum. The Art Museum was founded during the Great Depression of 1934, and mostly exhibited the works of local artists. A generous gift of 53 Renaissance and Baroque paintings and Sculptures from S H Kress, inspired community visionaries and friends of the museum to establish suitable space for this collection, and over the years collections have expanded extensively to our present collection of more than 17 000 works of art that are sure to appeal to discerning audiences. Allentown Art Museum houses an impressive collection of American art ranging from the mid-eighteenth century to the present time, and visitors will be delighted with the variety and quality of exhibitions.
